The UK Teacher Programmes bring teachers from across the UK closer to modern, cutting-edge particle physics. We hope our participants will go back to the UK as ambassadors, who pass on the subject to our next generation of physicists, engineers, IT specialists…

The programmes include:

• Lectures by leading scientists and engineers in the field of particle physics,
• Guided visits to CERN laboratories and other facilities,
• Workshops on how to bring particle physics content into classrooms, and
• Social events to start building a network of CERN teacher ambassadors.

Registrations for CERN Teacher Programmes are open approximately 2-3 months before the programme. The links for registrations can be found on the respective program’s link (above).

The UK Teacher Programmes are supported by OakNorth through the CERN & Society Foundation. This covers the full living expenses (single room in the CERN Hotel and meals). For more information on what this covers, please contact the national coordinators.
